Happy Birthday Daddy

Today’s post is dedicated to a very special man in my life who is celebrating his birthday. πŸ™‚

My daddy:

Happy Birthday Daddy. I hope you have the best day ever.

I wish I could put into words how special this man is to me. I wish I could thank him for all he has done and taught me so far in life. But no words would be able to show the love and give the thanks that he deserves. I am so unbelievably blessed to have someone like him to look up to in this life and he has and continues to shape me to into the young woman I am today.

He has pushed me to go for my dreams even when I though they were impossible, like my half marathon in Nashville.

He helped me become the best point guard I could be throughout my entire basketball career. If it wasn’t for him pushing me to put in the time I never would have made it to Winona. I can still remember all those days when he would play Sunday night basketball with a bunch of the men from Markesan and I of course had to be there watching him slam dunk it πŸ™‚ He was my best rebounder and biggest fan (including my lovely mommasita). There was never a day in the gym he didn’t make me work hard to become better and I would have to say my work ethic came from him pushing me so hard.

He was there to get me through the ups and downs in Winona and helped me walk across that stage on graduation day. From the days when it felt like I would never graduate, he always had the right words to get me through and to let me know there is a plan for all of our lives.

I’ve watched him become the greatest grandfather to my beautiful niece. (He even knows how to paint nails now πŸ™‚ )

I’ve seen him be a wonderful husband to my amazing mommasita. The love these two have for each other has been since seventh grade! To see a love like theirs last for so long has taught me so much about my relationship with Tyler and the hard work that goes into it. Seeing what these two share after 30 something years is such an incredible thing and I’m so proud to be their daughter.

And lastly, I love how he always finds a way to photo bomb about every picture he can!

I am so blessed and so thankful to have this man to look up to and I hope one day I can be the apple of my own daughter’s eye.

You are my world daddy and I don’t know what I would do without you. Happy Birthday and I love you so much!
