Another weekend gone so fast, but this weekend was extra special because my best friend from high school said “I Do” to the man of her dreams.
God really has a plan for everything and this weekend proved that to me even more. I have watched this beautiful bride grow from a high schooler, through college to the most beautiful and loving wife any man could ask for.
Her wedding was a lot different than any other wedding I have attended or been in, but that’s why it was so great. It was absolutely Rea and you could tell she was the happiest girl these past few days!
Friday we had our wedding rehearsal and when I saw the wedding site, my jaw dropped. We drove up to a house that looked like a castle.
Her wedding was honestly from a storybook.
The set up was so beautiful and totally Rea! Once we practiced for the big day we went over to the cutest little pizza place called Bartolotta’s Pizzeria Piccola. I am usually not a big pizza fan, but their margarita pizzas were soooo good!
After dinner, Rea surprised all of the bridesmaids with a robe to wear for the big day. Honestly, this was one of the greatest gifts I have ever received in a wedding and it made for a lot of cute pictures!
We then spent the rest of the morning making sure everything was all ready to go at the wedding site and spent some quality girl time together for the last time before the big walk down the aisle.
Getting ready was so much fun. All of our bridesmaid dresses were a creamish white with lace, but each dress was a different style. Getting ready was the first time the bride and all of us bridesmaids saw how all the dresses looked together. They looked fantastic together.
Once we were all dressed the pictures began! 🙂
The thing about this wedding that was so crazy was looking back to when Rea and I were little girls. I can still remember sitting at the end of my drive way talking about the boys in our life at that time. We would talk about how to kiss or wonder who it was that God had decided we were to marry. At that young of an age, it’s hard to believe that neither of us had yet met the men we will be with for the rest of our lives.
When the beautiful flower girl came down the aisle it hit me that this was really happening. The things we talked about and dreamed about as young girls was coming true for my Princess, Rea Mae.
I told myself I wouldn’t cry, but when she walked down the aisle with her dad you could see the love on her face and happiness in her heart and she was absolutely stunning.
All I ever heard about all day was how handsome Rea thought Danny was. And she was right, he was so handsome.
These two were made for each other.
The ceremony was so beautiful as the officiant talked about the love these two share with God as their centerpiece. Everything about their relationship is based around God and His plans for them. It is a humbling experience to be apart of something so dear and loving.
With the vows read and the final words “I do” Danny was finally able to kiss his bride!
It was such a beautiful moment.
While we finished up with some wedding pictures it was now time to celebrate the love of Danny and Rea.
On all the tables and wedding invites this hashtag was visible for guests to use when posting pictures onto social media or congratulating the new couple. This was one of my favorite things because after the wedding, Rea and Danny can now go to Twitter or Instagram and look up #dannylovesrea to see how much fun all of their guests had.
This was such a beautiful wedding and an amazing weekend and I was beyond ecstatic to be a part of such a big moment in Rea’s life. I felt so blessed to be able to watch as these two start their life long journey together. It was beautiful, heart warming and unbelievably inspiring.
