Andddd I’m up! This morning was very hard for me to get out of bed. It’s a beautiful morning and the sun was peaking through my windows very early, but my body said nope, not today! Typical Monday.
I had such a fantastic yet exhausting weekend that I could have used one more day to lay around and catch up on some sleep! Summertime weekends I feel like are usually like that. Tyler and I are always running around to see family and friends and help celebrate accomplishments! Before we know it, it is Sunday night and the week is about to start, making Mondays the infamous day of the week.
This weekend was so much fun as we celebrated Logan’s graduation, Father’s Day and I helped coach my hometown girls basketball team!
This guy is my favorite, the handsome Logan Wild.
I am so proud of the young man he is and know he will accomplish so much throughout his life. I am so honored to be able to call him my little brother, even though I guess he isn’t technically my little brother yet. 🙂 (But we sure act like brother and sister!)
The graduation party was a blast and such a good turn out. There was a life size Logan graduate set up that was absolutely hilarious. Almost everyone at the party took pictures with it mocking the “no neck” look. We even got Tyler to take a picture with his life size brother replica.
The morning started early as we finished making all the food and setting up before the big party. Tyler grilled all the burgers, brats and hot dogs starting at 8 am.
Now he has no excuse not to grill supper during the week. 🙂
Overall the food was fantastic and I couldn’t help but to take all pasta salad like dishes because I just wanted to try a little bit of everything!
At any Wild gathering you can always expect there to be every sort of yard game in the book available and ready to play. We had everything from bags to washers, bocci ball to life size drinking Jenga.
And of course during these games you know Tyler is making up rules as they go to make it more competitive.
It was a great day and so much fun! Once we finally called it a night Sunday was just as busy as we went back to my hometown to celebrate Father’s Day with this amazing man!
I still don’t know how I got so lucky to have such an amazing Father to look up to each and every day. From little on he has always been my #1 fan and motivates me to follow my dreams every chance I get. He was the first to read my blog and is the first to like every post every day. That alone means more than I could ever explain. I wish I could give him a gigantic hug every single day and explain to him how thankful I am to have someone like him to teach me what it’s like to grow up and handle the ups and downs in this beautiful life.
I hope you all had as great of a Father’s Day as I did!
Summer Shape Up!
As the week begins and I am recovering from the weekend I thought this would also be an awesome time to change up the workout and nutrition routine! I am participating in the Summer Shape Up 2014 with the lovely Gina from The Fitnessista on her week 1 of the program.
I always love to change up my workout and see what other bloggers out there are doing! I am so excited for the next four weeks to be participating in Summer Shape Up 2014 and encourage you to join me! Throughout the four weeks I will be sharing how I like the workouts and nutrition plans! 🙂
Questions for the day:
- How was your weekend and Fathers Day?
- Will you be joining me in Summer Shape Up 2014.
