Friday Dance: Fist Pumps All Day

Friday Friday. You know what that means?! Friday Dance!!! yayy. 🙂

This week, like every other, has flown by but I would have to say this one went especially fast. I have been so busy with work, blogging and participating in Summer Shape Up 2014 that each day comes and goes with a snap of a finger!

For those of you just joining me, every Friday I do a “Friday Dance”. This is something my roommate and I started in college. We would wake up in the morning and celebrate the week with a pretty killer dance. What are my killer dance moves you might ask? I jump around in a few circles on one leg and add a few fist pumps. I know, I should try out for “So You Think You Can Dance” asap!

I have evolved the Friday Dance into more than just jumping around, but also to stop and reflect on the good things that have happened this week and then dance about them. Sometimes with our crazy weeks, we usually remember the bad things that happened at work or in our personal life. When friends over the weekend ask how our week is we grumble, instead of picking a few of the really great things that happened to talk about.

Here is why I’m dancing this morning:

1) My beautiful mommasita and her sisters are coming to town to visit tonight!

Friday Dance

I’m beyond excited since my aunts haven’t seen my place yet and I know it’s gonna be a fun night full of a lot of laughter.

2) Summer Shape Up 2014

Summer Shape up is a 4 week program created by two of my favorite bloggers, Gina at The Fitnessista and Anne at Fannetastic Food.

Gina provides the workouts for each week while Anne creates a day-to-day meal plan for each week. She also provides grocery lists with gluten free and vegan items! I absolutely love week 1 already and can’t wait to see what Gina and Anne have in store for week 2. Gina has me pretty sore this morning so that’s something to dance about!

3) The Beauty of Summer Time

This week has been pretty raining, but it doesn’t even matter. I actually love the rain! This week I was able to enjoy the amazing fresh fruit of the summer.

Friday Dance

And enjoy the beauty that comes with summer!

Friday Dance

I love flowers in the summer time. I’m hoping I can find some time next week to paint this!

4) SoBe Lifewater

Friday Dance

I seriously love SoBe Lifewater, it may be an addiction. One time when I wasn’t feeling well, Tyler went and bought me 10 different SoBe waters so I could try them all. It was so great. My two favorites are the pear apple and the acai raspberry. So good. They also always have a note to the drinker on the inside of the cap.

Friday Dance

This made me smile! Thank you Sobe Lifewater, you are so kind.

5) Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Now this my friends, is an addiction. Once a week a coworker and I go to Potbelly’s Subs to catch up and have their delicious mushroom melt.

Friday Dance

I think why I love their subs so much is because of their hot peppers and pickles.

Friday DanceI LOVE hot things, so this alone is a win in my book! 🙂

6) Ants on a Log

Friday Dance

I used to eat these all the time as a child! I’m so thankful that Anne’s meal plan gave some snack ideas. I completely forgot about this tasty healthy treat after work. It sure beats pretzels!

7) Banana Oatmeal

Friday Dance

Oh emmm geeee!

I still can’t get over how good this Banana Oatmeal recipe is! I usually have oatmeal for breakfast, but this recipe blew my mind. I can’t believe I have been eating oatmeal wrong for so many years! Yesterday morning was a life changing moment which makes this recipe deserve an extra dance!

So there you have it. Those are some of the reasons I’m dancing this week! I’m so blessed and can’t wait for my momma to get here later today.

Happy Friday all! I’d love to hear what you are dancing about this week.
