Monday already?! What a weekend it has been. I had so much fun with so many people I love that I don’t even know where to begin on this beautiful Monday morning.
As some of you may know I was on vacation this weekend up north at a cabin of some family friends. I haven’t seen them in such a long time so it was a lot of fun catching up with everyone.
Most of the fourth we spent the day on the boat catching some rays and laughing about anything and everything.
Every time I’m on a boat I am instantly in relaxation mode and try to soak up the moment as much as possible because I never want it to end.
After our adventure on the boat we spent the rest of the afternoon playing lawn games with some tasty drinks.
I’m pretty sure we have every lawn game you could think of. (Tyler is obsessed.)
Right before dinner (which was broiled cod, shrimp, carrots and red potatoes, oh em geee it was so amazing I didn’t even stop to get a picture of it before demolishing my plate) anyways right before dinner we found out two of our really good friends were staying at a campground about a quarter mile away from our cabin. What a small world right?!
We stopped by to say hello and then headed back to the beautiful night around a fire.
Of course we had guitars, music and a lot of wannabe American Idols singing at the top of our lungs! It was an absolute blast.
Saturday was the day I had been waiting for for weeks now! It was the 303 reunion! No really it was one of my college best friend’s little sister’s graduation party, but it turned into a reunion of my roommates! This was the first time we had all been together since family camping of last year in August.
Of course the entire day was filled with catching up, laughing, lawn games and none other than sand volleyball.
Let me tell you, from lawn games to volleyball this crew is beyond competitive. Best out of three turned into best out of seven.
(I’m pretty sure the girls won tho!)
It was such an amazing, fun and beautiful day/night.
The next morning it felt like we were all living together again. We made a delicious breakfast and watched an action movie early in the morning just like the good old days! It totally felt like we were back in college, I loved it!
As the weekend wound down I realized how exhausted I was, but how very blessed I am for all the amazing people in my life. This Fourth of July was extremely special to me in more ways than one and I’m so thankful for all that I was able to do on this holiday vacation.
We ended the vacation road tripping 3.5 hours back home, but I loved every second of it since I was with this stud.
I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July!
