I believe in the power of reflection and have made Friday mornings my day to focus on myself and what makes me truly happy. Throughout our weeks, we get knocked down several times, but the question is how do you stand back up? When the good things happen, how are you thankful for them? Since we tend to hold on to the negative aspects of our weeks, we need to take the time to really think about all the blessings from the week so we start the weekend positively.
My Friday Dance allows me to see the good in every week, get a mini workout in (interval style this morning) and start my weekend off with a burst of energy!
Here’s what I’m dancing about this morning!
I have heard about this group fitness class for sometime now, but haven’t really made the leap to join. After I took the opportunity to take a free class at my local Gold’s Gym, I fell in love with the class and the instructor. My true passion is to one day change lives by inspiring and motivating others to be the best they can be. This one class may have changed my life forever as I am serious about following my dreams! 🙂

2) Tyler – the man who gets me through
Tyler is literally my Knight and Shining Armor. Those of you, (aka my parents) who read my posts daily, are probably getting annoyed with how much I talk about Tyler. But I can’t even begin to explain how much love I have for this man and how he changes my life in so many positive ways. When confiding in him this week about my plans for the future, he gave me the best advice I could have ever asked for.
“Does God give us courage? No. He gives us opportunities to be courageous.” – From Evan Almighty.
This simple quote will follow me for the rest of my life. To read more about Tyler’s Words of Wisdom, click here.
3) image.works July Birthdays!
July birthdays seem to be popular everywhere I go, but I couldn’t be more happy to share my birthday month with these great coworkers. The real-world work life has been full of ups and downs as I’m sure every job is, but the people where I work are absolutely amazing. Not a day goes by where you don’t learn something new or have a good laugh. In an environment where stress can be high, it’s important to have that!
My company is also really great in that they give you two hours early release on your birthday! Since my birthday is on Sunday, I get to choose either today or Monday. We already leave at three on Fridays so I will be able to leave at one today which makes for a freebie half day. Life is good! Let the birthday weekend begin at one! 🙂
4) Thursday Night Trivia
I love living in Madison! One of the main reasons is because there is always something to do every single night. Tyler and I don’t go out to eat very often during the week, but when two of our close friends invited us to dinner and trivia, we couldn’t turn them down. We went to the Capital Bar Haus where I had a delicious Balsamic Sauteed Mushroom Veggie Sandwich.
I always love going to Trivia events, but hate them at the same time since I never know the answers! Thank goodness we bring the boys along! After a while, I start to people watch. I love doing this at a trivia event because every type of personality is there participating!
I also have to share our late night indulgence. A large pretzel with cheese.
This homemade pretzel was one of the largest I have ever seen. Thankfully, we split it among six people so it wasn’t to bad. 🙂 I feel like Wisconsin is the only place with large pretzels, cheese, beer and trivia! That’s why I love it. Only in Wisconsin!
6) Your Divine Fingerprint
This book has been absolutely life changing. As some of you may know, I am a perfectionist and I play the comparison game quite often, especially in my new creative position at work. This book teaches you how we are all unique and have a different fingerprint. This uniqueness gives you a force that makes you unstoppable.
Now it’s your turn for your Friday Dance.
Instead of doing one big Friday Dance after my list, I did quick little dances for each thing I’m thankful for this week. After all they do say interval training is the way to go! 🙂
I hope you all had a wonderful week and have an even better weekend! See you on Monday!
Question for the day?
- What are you dancing about this week?
