Okay so here is the thing! It’s been two months since I wrote a blog post. Two months?! Whatttt happened?
Well 2015 happened! And to be honest. I needed a bit of a break. I began my new job and found my time was no longer routine. I wasn’t working the 8-5 job where I could schedule the same time every day to sit down and write a post and I was waking up in the morning almost dreading the thought of writing a blog post. So, I stopped, but just for a bit! 🙂
I was burnt out. The things that are my passions began to feel like work, and that’s when I knew I needed to use 2015 as a way to rekindle and revive my passions!
And it hit me a few days ago when I woke up with the biggest urge to go for a run for the first time in two weeks! I didn’t plan how far I was going to go, I just ran. AND. IT. WAS. AMAZING! I felt this spike of adrenaline that I haven’t felt since I ran in my half marathon last April! I honestly felt like I could have ran forever, but after a surprisingly five miles down, I had to stop for that awesome thing in my life I get to call a job!
My little run earlier this week made me realize something that is important in our lives!!
Sometimes we need to take a step back from the things that we are extremely passionate about in order to light that fire again and bring that smile back to our faces.
You guys, I have so much to tell you that has happened these last few months. But what really hit me on January 1st of 2015 was that I wanted to enjoy every moment. During blogging I got to the point where every little thing that happened to me I was snapping a picture and posting it on social media or writing a blog post about it instead of enjoying it. One of the main reasons I began writing was because I love it and it’s a way to help me remember some of the awesome things that happen in my life. It’s like a 10-year old photo album that you pull out at your family gathering and reminisce about the hilarious outfits and hairstyles from “back in the day”. That’s how I feel about writing. This week I took some time to go through some of my old blog posts and it was amazing and hilarious all at the same time! But I do know I need to soak up ever moment and enjoy “real life” on top of creating my photo album!
My fire has been rekindled. AND. IT. FEELS. AMAZING!
I would have to say today is my favorite Friday Dance of all times and the start to my 2015 photo album!!!
xoxo
